TabFlow · Privacy policy
Scope
This policy describes TabFlow 1.0.0. Last updated: September 26, 2026.
Data used on your device
TabFlow reads open tab titles, URLs, favicon addresses and window information to search, categorize, switch and close tabs. It queries Chrome browsing history using the text you enter and uses browser-provided visit information to rank results. Matching and categorization take place locally.
Saved data and retention
Favorites (URL, title, category, favicon address and creation time), language and appearance preferences are stored in extension local storage. TabFlow does not provide cloud synchronization. Favorites remain until you remove them or uninstall the extension; preferences remain until changed or uninstalled. Short-lived panel authorization and document identity are kept in session storage; closing the panel or tab removes its authorization.
External requests
Website icons can load from the website-provided address. If an icon is unavailable, TabFlow requests an icon from Google S2 using the website domain. Icon providers receive the request URL and ordinary network information such as your IP address. The S2 domain parameter does not include your search terms or the full page path. Third-party services apply their own data practices.
Google search and opening pages
Typing to match tabs, favorites or history does not itself trigger a Google search. Only choosing the Google search action opens Google with your entered terms. Opening a favorite or history result visits the corresponding website normally.
Developer data reporting
This version has no developer-operated data reporting, analytics SDK or advertising SDK. It does not upload your complete browsing history to a developer server. Because website icons can make external requests, TabFlow is not completely offline.
Isolation
Private search results are displayed in an extension-origin frame. The page host does not receive these results, and the background verifies the frame request before granting access. This does not protect against every browser, operating-system or other-extension vulnerability. Users upgrading from the earlier shared-DOM version should refresh previously opened pages or restart Chrome after saving their work.
Your controls
Remove a favorite in TabFlow to delete that saved item. Uninstalling the extension removes its local favorites and preferences. Manage Chrome browsing history separately in Chrome settings. You can change or revoke extension permissions in Chrome.
